On a mission to help solve one of the biggest and most talked about environmental problems in the cosmetics industry, Truthbrush was created from a desire for a toothbrush that was beautiful and luxurious as well as plastic free.

Every year over a billion plastic toothbrushes are thrown away worldwide, ending up in landfill, in the sea or washed up on our beaches. Making them one of several day-to-day items contributing to the growing plastic pollution on our planet.

Each Truthbrush is instead made from sustainable, organic bamboo that is 100% biodegradable. Dipped in a choice of white, grey or pink REACH approved paint, the Truthbrush will make a beautiful addition to any bathroom cupboard. We have also added a Tiny Truthbrush for Children to the range, which is perfect for smaller mouths under 8 years old.

The bamboo itself is ‘Moso’ Bamboo, a type of bamboo not eaten by Pandas and sourced in its natural habitat in China where it can grow up to a metre a day. Naturally resistant to pests, the bamboo is organically harvested in FSC managed sustainable forests.

Although this means shipping the toothbrushes from China to Europe, the brand have chosen to offset shipping from China to help reduce their carbon footprint and make Truthbrush as sustainable as possible.

The bamboo is also naturally anti-bacterial and antifungal, making it a hygienic and practical choice for your bathroom whilst making a small yet significant step towards reducing our plastic waste.

Having consulted with dentists, the Truthbruth is made with medium bristles to effectively remove plaque and help you maintain healthy gums. One Truthbrush will last you for three months, after which dentists advice that you purchase a replacement. Simply pop your Truthbrush in the bin and overtime the handle will biodegrade naturally.
