Combining their expertise as a hospital surgeon and a fashion buyer, the two founders of Truthbrush, designed the range to not only look beautiful in the home but also be a really great toothbrush. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of bamboo ensure that the Truthbrush is hygienic and the natural material used in manufacturing makes the handle fully biodegradable.

The Moso bamboo used in the Truthbrush is inedible to pandas, so the manufacturing process of these brushes is not detrimental to pandas. It is estimated that every year over a billion plastic toothbrushes are thrown away worldwide, ending up in landfill, in the sea or washed up on a beach. Using a bamboo toothbrush with a biodegradable handle is a small change but together we can make a big difference.

The new bristles range between soft and medium which is recommended by dentists for the best removal of plaque and for keeping gums healthy. Made from 62% castor oil and 38% nylon, the bristles are not compostable but they are one of the most environmentally bristles currently on the market.

As if that weren’t enough to convert us, the bamboo used in the manufacturing of Truthbrush is Moso bamboo which is inedible to pandas, so will not be detrimental to pandas.

​Use in the same way you would any other toothbrush with the toothpaste of your choice. After use, it is advised not to leave your Truthbrush standing in water. Based on advice from dentists, it is recommended to replace your Truthbrush every 3 months for hygiene reasons.
